Sophomore guard Josh Bartelstein will give an inside look all season at the 2010-11 version of the Wolverines.

Hope everyone is doing well.

We just came off a really big win on Saturday against a very good Harvard team. Coach Amaker has a team that mirrors the likes of Cornell of last year. We all know what they did last year. Harvard shoots the ball really well, plays an impressive team defense and really has great team chemistry. So, it turned out to be a big win for us.

The two players of the game probably have to be Stu (Douglass) and Zack (Novak). Ah, the roomies.

Stu took the game over for a while in the second half and we really needed that. Our offense was really stagnant and Stu picked us up in a big way. Novak had his first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Who said he can't play the four man?

I have to make it three, as I need to include Darius (Morris) in the Player of the Game category because he is playing at such a high level. Darius seems to be in complete control of the game and it is amazing to see how big of a jump there is in his game from last year to this year. As coach (LaVall) Jordan always says to us guards, just make winning plays. Darius and Stu are making winning plays.

Switching gears... I almost had one of the best days of my life yesterday. I was taking a great post game nap when Evan (Smotrycz) and Zack came busting into my room with a Hanukkah gift for me. It was one of those scratch and win lottery cards and I really wasn't too excited about it. I was half asleep and scratched off the numbers. At first, because my eyes weren't really open, I told Zack I didn't win, but upon further review I had actually won $5,000. Yes! I legitimately won the lottery ticket game and the house was going nuts.

Evan was running up and down the stairs, I almost fell down all the stairs and Novak was just bitter it wasn't him who won. Next thing I know, Novak gives me another lottery card and I won $ 10,000. I was calling my friends, even called (Matt) Vogrich to tell him the big news.

In the matter of seconds, I had just become $15,000 richer. I was putting my shoes on and heading off to the gas station when Zack gave me one last ticket to open for HIM. Guess who won again -- another $5,000!

Now at this point, I knew something had to be up.

But Evan was acting like I had really just won, calling people he knew and even making arrangements for me to spend the money that night. If basketball doesn't work out for Evan, he should go into acting. I then noticed Zack had his camera phone out and I became really, really depressed. I went from being the big winner to just winning absolutely nothing. It was all one big prank. Zack and Evan had just gone to the dollar store and bought fake scratch off lottery tickets.

The best part of the story is that a little later, I went to the gas station with Zack and Evan after just to test my luck and I can tell everyone I did actually WIN: one single dollar. So I still came out on top, I guess.

In my next blog, I will answer some more of your questions so keep sending them in to askjbart20@aol.com.

Also, I have been told that because there has been such good interest in the blog, they are going to film a TV show about it coming up. So thanks to everyone and keep reading along.
