ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced that Saturday's (Dec. 14) men's basketball game against No. 1-ranked Arizona will be a "Maize Out" as all U-M fans are encouraged to wear maize-colored clothing to the sold-out game against the Wildcats.

Saturday's game is the first of a home-and-home series between Michigan (6-3) and Arizona (10-0). The game will be U-M's second against a nationally ranked team in the last 11 days.

U-M holds a 2-6 all-time record against Arizona, who will travel to play in Ann Arbor for the first time. Overall, seven of the eight series matchups have been played in an early season tournament or at a neutral site. U-M won the only true campus site game with an 88-76 victory in Tucson, Ariz., on Dec. 30, 1987. U-M's other win was a 73-71 overtime win at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Dec. 21, 1996).

The game is scheduled to begin at 12:07 p.m., and will be televised nationally on CBS. Jim Nantz and Greg Anthony will be at Crisler Center for the call of the game.
