Michigan's 68-61 loss to No. 14/14 UCLA ends the Wolverines' winning streak to open the season. Michigan's streak ended at 7-0 and was the best start under coach Tommy Amaker.
With the 68-61 loss to No. 14/14 UCLA, the Wolverines drop to 2-8 all-time against the Bruins.
While Michigan and No. 14/14 UCLA were even in just about every category, the Wolverines lost an edge in the three-point column. While the Bruins finished the game shooting 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from the arc, the Wolverines finished shooting a season-low 21.7 percent (5-of-23).
Michigan had four players reach double digits for the third time this season: Chris Hunter (15), Dion Harris (14), Lester Abram (12) and Daniel Horton (10).
Courtney Sims and Dion Harris have each played in 73 consecutive games for the Wolverines. Sims has started 65 while Harris has started 49.
Lester Abram brought down six boards against the Bruins to reach and surpass the 300-rebound mark for his career. Abram now has 302 career boards.
With six assists against UCLA, Daniel Horton reached and surpassed the 350-assist mark for his career. Horton has currently dished off 352 career assists.
