499 and Counting
Michigan's 88-58 victory over Eastern Michigan today marked the 499th game played in Crisler Arena. The Wolverines will play their 500th game in the facility when they host Purdue University in their Big Ten home opener Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at 12:15 p.m.

Crosstown Dominance
Today's game against Eastern Michigan marked the 25th meeting between the two schools. Michigan's victory improves the Wolverines' record to 23-2 against the Eagles. Michigan has won nine out of the last 10 meetings with the Eagles, including three straight victories.

Welcome Back
Senior Leon Jones made his first start since the opening game of season. In a return to the starting role, Jones scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds. Jones injured his hand and was out of action for two weeks before returning to game action against Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne (Dec. 4).

Young Reaches Milestones
Senior Chris Young recorded a career-high three steals in the Wolverines' 88-58 win over Eastern Michigan. Young bested his previous high of two set on four separate occasions. Young also recorded his 200th career field goal late in the first half, off a baseline finger-roll. Young finished the game with five points and three steals.

LaVell Hits 20
Junior LaVell Blanchard scored 20 points against the Eagles in the 88-58 victory over Eastern Michigan. This is the 18th time in his career that he has gone over 20 points and the first time this season.

Three-Point Specialist
Senior Mike Gotfredson scored a career-high six points on 2-for-3 shooting behind the three-point line. In his two years at Michigan, Gotfredson has scored 12 points, all of which have come off three-pointers. Gotfredson has now scored nine of his 12 career points against Eastern. Last season Gotfredson scored his only three points against the Eagles.

Gavin Hits the Century Mark
Junior Gavin Groninger corralled his 100th career rebound in action against Eastern Michigan Saturday (Dec. 22). The milestone rebound came early in the second half on the defensive end of the court. Groninger finished the game with three points and three rebounds.

Sharing the Wealth
Sophomore Bernard Robinson Jr. dished out his 80th career assist in the victory over Eastern Michigan. Robinson Jr. finished the game with three assists to go along with 15 points and three rebounds.

Making Their Marks
Seniors Rotolu Adebiyi and Herb Gibson both reached their season highs in points with two each. Adebiyi scored his basket on a layin and Gibson had a two-handed put-back dunk.

Cutting His Teeth
Sophomore Colin Dill saw his first game action of the season this afternoon. Dill returned to action following surgery to remove debris from his lower left leg.

The Marathon
Senior Chris Young continues to be a mainstay in the Michigan lineup. Young has played in 96 consecutive games, starting the last 36 straight.

Takin' Charge
Senior Chris Young drew an offensive foul for the seventh time this season. It is also the third straight game in which Young has taken a charge.
