2001-02 BKM vs. San Fransisco -- quotes
U-M Head Coach Tommy Amaker

On the game ... "The game just got away from us. We are certainly disappointed. Obviously we did not play very well, but we still had chance to win at the end. From a spectator's point of view it was not a very pretty game to watch. You are going to get these types of games every now and then. What we need though is the toughness to dig this type of game out and get the win. We are disappointed that we were not able to get a rebound here or hit a layin or shot there that might have been able to put us over the top. However, the season goes on and our next segment is the Big Ten."

On poor shooting ... "Obviously when you look at the statistics and percentages we did not shoot very well. However, we were able to stay within one or two possessions for most of the game. We did some nice things to get in position to win the game, but we need players to make plays to get us over hump."

On free throw shooting ... "We need to use the line as a weapon for our team. We thought we would have more shooting nights like tonight, but so far we have not. When it does happen we need to be able to get to the line to generate some points for ourselves. When we have got to the line we have shot well."
