Jerry Milling is in his second season as a Michigan football defensive graduate assistant coach, where he assists with the linebackers.
Prior to his current role, Milling spent one season (2012) as a defensive analyst for U-M and one season (2011) as an assistant strength coach for the Wolverines.
Milling was a four-year letterman and two-year starter at linebacker at San Diego State (2005-09). He appeared in 30 career games with 14 starts, posting 121 career tackles, 11 TFLs, 1.5 sacks and one interception during his collegiate career.
Milling earned his bachelor's degree in social science from San Diego State.
He attended Palmdale High School, where he earned conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and was an all-region selection by the Los Angeles Times as a senior.
