Michigan maintains the lead in the all-time series at 40-13-4. In Iowa, U-M is 16-6-1.
U-M defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery returned to his alma mater, where he played defensive tackle from 1998-2001.
Iowa's coaching staff features former Wolverine player and coach Erik Campbell, who coached the U-M wide receivers from 1995-2007. He also played wide receiver and defensive back for Bo Schembechler from 1984-87.
Former Michigan All-America halfback and head coach Bump Elliott was in attendance today. He led U-M from 1959-68, earning a 51-42-2 record.
Junior Hemingway cracked the top 20 on U-M's career receiving yards list. Hemingway had 64 yards on five catches today to pass Adrian Arrington, who is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to take over 20th place with 1,453 career yards.
Fitzgerald Toussaint made his first career touchdown reception on just the third catch of his career.
Denard Robinson moved to ninth place all-time on the U-M career rushing yards list. His 2,933 yards surpassed Gordon Bell (1973-75, 2,900 yards). He had 12 carries for 55 yards today.
Denard Robinson threw two touchdown passes for his fifth multi-touchdown passing game of the season.
Denard Robinson threw his 32nd and 33rd career touchdown passes, which ties him for eighth place in U-M annals with Brian Griese (1994-97).
Denard Robinson threw for 194 yards to boost his career total to 4,375. He passed Rick Leach (1975-78) for ninth place on the school's all-time list.
Will Heininger made his first career solo sack. He had a half-sack as a sophomore in 2009.
Craig Roh made his fourth sack of the season, which leads the team. He has 4.5 career sacks.
Kenny Demens made 11 tackles for his seventh career game with double-digit stops.
