Michigan Head Coach Rich Rodriguez

On the game ... "We made a lot of plays today that had Michigan beating Michigan. You got to give them credit. They made the plays, but it's unfortunate because our guys gave great effort. We had a lot of opportunities; we just didn't get it done."

On Michigan's defense ... "I thought they played a good enough football game. We gave them seven points on the first fumble. The defense hung in there all day. They got decent field position for the offense. They got a turnover, but offensively we got a rhythm at times and then just when we were rolling we'd have a [bad] play, so it cost us."

On next season ... "We got quite a few guys back on both sides of the ball, but that's not going to be good enough. The guys coming back have got to get better. We've got to have a great recruiting class. We're probably going to have some young guys play again next year and the year after that. Eventually, we will have more seniors and juniors than we do freshmen and sophomores."

Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel

On the game ... "Michigan played their hearts out. It was a heck of a hard-fought game. We weren't comfortable until there was a minute left and we had the ball. It was a hard-fought game like all these great rivalry games are. Our kids stepped up and I thought they did a great job preparing. They did a nice job doing what they were called upon to do. It was a heck of a team effort."

On Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier ... "He does such a good job of creating things. He threw one way across his body for a touchdown earlier. Sometimes that baits you into thinking that that makes sense. He's a young guy. He threw a couple balls he shouldn't have, but he threw the football well and they played hard. Our guys played hard as well. But turnovers and rushing will always be the key to this game."

On the importance of November ... "Throughout the year we're trying to get better. Our kids are always trying to get better. We knew when we looked at the November schedule that it was not going to be an easy thing, but our guys don't back down from anything. Everyone kept mentioning Michigan's record and we were saying, well this is the Ohio State-Michigan game. I am very proud of our guys. When you're undefeated in November good things will happen over the holidays."
