Five Former Wolverines to Play in Senior All-Star Games

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Five former University of Michigan football players will participate in upcoming senior all-star games over the course of the next three weekends, including wide receiver Roy Roundtree, defensive lineman William Campbell, offensive lineman Elliott Mealer, quarterback Denard Robinson and safety Jordan Kovacs.

Three U-M standouts will take the field this Saturday (Jan. 19). Roundtree will wear the winged helmet one more time as a member of the Stripes team in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic at Cramton Field in Montgomery, Ala. The game will kickoff at 3 p.m. and will be televised on CBS Sports Network. Meanwhile, at 4 p.m. on the NFL Network, Campbell will take the field for the East team in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Later Saturday evening, Mealer will participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The game will air at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

Robinson will travel to Mobile, Ala., this weekend to prepare for the Senior Bowl, where he will play primarily as a wide receiver. The annual Senior Bowl game will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and will be televised on NFL Network. Fans also can watch Robinson practice for the North squad (Jan. 21-24) on NFL Network. Next Monday's practice will air at 4 p.m., while practice sessions on Tuesday-Thursday will be televised at 2 p.m. on the network.

Kovacs accepted an invitation to play in the annual Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Game on Feb. 2 at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on Fox Sports.
