ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Head coach Rich Rodriguez of the University of Michigan football team will host his initial clinic as a member of the Wolverine staff, conducting a three-day spring coaches clinic Thursday through Saturday, April 3-5.
"It was great to meet and speak with many of the high school coaches at the convention last month," said Rodriguez. "I hope that many of those coaches and others from around the country will join us for our first clinic at Michigan."
The three-day clinic includes three days of practice starting Thursday (April 3). On Friday, members of the Michigan coaching staff will speak and run field demonstrations, and Rodriguez will provide the featured talk that evening. Mike Barwis will conduct a strength and conditioning overview prior to practice on Saturday. The clinic costs $40 per coach and checks should be made payable to Michigan Athletic Department.
In addition to the spring clinic, the Michigan football program announced that its five-day summer camp will be June 15-19, 2008. The Wolverines will also hold a seven-on-seven team passing camp on June 20-21, the first time that such an event has been held at the institution.
