21 Signees, Six Early Enrollees Give Michigan 27 in Recruiting Class

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke announced the signing of 21 student-athletes to binding National Letters of Intent on Wednesday (Feb. 6), the first day of the signing period. They will join the six early enrollees that joined the team in January. The announcement was made during a press conference held at 2 p.m. in the Junge Family Champions Center.

• Seventeen of the 27 players are from Ohio (9) or Michigan (8). Ten states in all are represented: Illinois (3), Colorado, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

• Michigan has six of the top nine players from the state of Michigan and five of the top 11 players from the state of Ohio, according to Scout.com.

• All eight of the players from the state of Michigan were selected to the Detroit News Blue Chip List.

• Michigan has 13 players in the top 250 nationally ranked, according to Rivals.com.

• Michigan has 17 players in the top 300 nationally ranked, according to Scout.com, including seven in the top 100.
