• Michigan's defenders corralled five picks and a fumble recovery by senior linebacker Jonas Mouton during practice. Cam Gordon, Craig Roh, Al Backey, Mark Moundros and James Rogers collected the interceptions.

• Mike Cox, Stephen Hopkins and Terrence Robinson scored rushing touchdowns.

Tate Forcier tossed a touchdown pass to Darryl Stonum and the Robinson combination of Denard to Jerald struck for a passing score during goal line situation.

• Rodriguez said that Brandin Hawthorne would work at both the hybrid position and safety.

• Rodriguez mentioned that the Wolverines were trying to work on different defensive packages throughout spring that would put the defense in better situations to defend against power, spread and West Coast styles.

• Wide receiver Je'Ron Stokes may miss another week with an ankle injury suffered during the first day of practice.

• Rodriguez mentioned that safeties Vladimir Emilien and Jared Van Slyke will miss an undetermined amount of time because of knee injuries sustained on Saturday. Defensive end Anthony LaLota has been hampered by an elbow injury.

• Indianapolis Colts' running back and Michigan's all-time leading rusher, Mike Hart, watched his first practice of the season after finishing his offseason training workout with the strength and conditioning staff.

• Jen Maszatics, the executive assistant to head coach Rich Rodriguez, celebrated her birthday today.
