PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Department in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference office and its television partners announced today (May 5) that the Wolverines' homecoming game against the University of Iowa on Oct. 16 will start at 3:30 p.m. EDT. The gridiron match-up with the Hawkeyes at Michigan Stadium will be broadcast nationally by ESPN on ABC.
Iowa is tied for the fourth most common homecoming opponent for Michigan. The Wolverines hold a 5-3 mark in the eight previous homecoming match-ups with the Hawkeyes.
This will be the 110th homecoming game (excluding four alumni exhibitions) played by the Wolverines in Ann Arbor. U-M has an 83-26 record in homecoming games. Michigan has won 12 of its last 15 homecoming games and has claimed victories in 36 of its last 42 games dating back to 1968.
The Wolverines have a 40-11-4 all-time record against the Hawkeyes. U-M is 22-4-3 against Iowa at Michigan Stadium (23-5-3 home record in Ann Arbor).
