ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football team announced today (Friday, May 24) that its Oct. 5 homecoming game against Minnesota at the Big House is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EDT kickoff and will be televised on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
It marks the 113th homecoming game in Ann Arbor, and it will be the 33rd time U-M has hosted Minnesota on homecoming, the most of any opponent. The Wolverines hold an 85-27 record in their previous 112 homecoming contests, including a 24-8 mark against the Golden Gophers. Michigan owns a 72-24-3 all-time record against Minnesota and a 38-12-1 mark at home.
The Michigan-Minnesota game time marks the third confirmed kickoff on U-M's 2013 football schedule. The Wolverines will host Notre Dame at 8 p.m. EDT at Michigan Stadium on Sept. 7 and travel to Penn State on Oct. 12 for a 5 p.m. EDT kickoff. The Notre Dame contest will be broadcast live on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, while the Penn State game will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.
