2012 Michigan Football Schedule
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football team in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference and its television partners announced today (Thursday, June 7) kickoff times for two additional games.
The Wolverines' Sept. 8 home opener against Air Force is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET start and will be broadcast on ABC (ESPN2 mirror).
U-M will host Massachusetts the following Saturday (Sept. 15) in Ann Arbor, also at 3:30 p.m. ET, and it will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Eight of Michigan's 12 kickoff times have been set for the 2012 season. The Wolverines will face Alabama at 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 1 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as a part of the Cowboys Classic.
The season opener against the defending national champions is one of three primetime starts for the Wolverines. U-M will travel to South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 22 to face Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. EDT in a game that will be broadcast by NBC. The Wolverines will make their initial trip to Lincoln, Neb., on Oct. 27 to face Nebraska. The contest against the Cornhuskers will be shown on one of the ESPN platforms at 8 p.m. EDT.
U-M will travel to West Lafayette, Ind., on Oct. 6 for a 4 p.m. ET, nationally televised game with Purdue on the Big Ten Network before it returns home to face Illinois on Oct. 13 at 3:30 p.m. ET in Michigan Stadium for a contest broadcast on ABC.
The Wolverines will conclude the regular season with a noon ET kickoff in Columbus, Ohio, against Ohio State.
Start times for the Michigan State (Oct. 20), Minnesota (Nov. 3), Northwestern (Nov. 10) and Iowa (Nov. 17) contests are not expected to be announced until the six- and 12-day window prior to those games.
