ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Kickoff times for the University of Michigan football team's first two home games were announced Wednesday (July 16). The Wolverines will host Appalachian State on Aug. 30 at noon on ESPN2 and Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
Michigan is facing Appalachian State for the second time in program history after also hosting the Mountaineers in 2007. The Wolverines have played Miami (Ohio) five times, with the first meeting in 1924 and most recent in 2008, and lead the all-time series, 5-0.
With Wednesday's announcement, Michigan has half of its 12 regular-season game times set. U-M travels to Notre Dame on Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. on NBC, plays at Rutgers on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. on the Big Ten Network, hosts Penn State on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2 in the first conference night game in Michigan Stadium history and hosts Indiana on Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. for homecoming.
