ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football program hosted Stephen Loszewski and his family in partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation and ESPN on Tuesday, June 24. The day was captured by ESPN cameras and aired on SportsCenter on Tuesday, July 22.
Loszewski, who played defensive end for his high school's freshman team, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in March of 2011.
His wish was to be recruited by the Michigan football team that his family has supported his entire life, and that wish was granted with a day that included a tour of Schembechler Hall, a meeting with Brady Hoke, the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach, a tour of the locker room and leading the team onto the field at Michigan Stadium.
Michigan is the first collegiate program to participate in ESPN's ninth annual "My Wish" series.
