ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan football team's 2011 season will be previewed by Fox Sports Detroit on Friday (Aug. 26) at 6:30 p.m. The half-hour show is hosted by Mickey York with reports from Shannon Hogan, Matt Shepard, Trevor Thompson and Justin White. The season preview contains the following segments: An interview with head coach Brady Hoke.
A visit with quarterback Denard Robinson.
Introductions of defensive coordinator Greg Mattison and offensive coordinator Al Borges.
A conversation with running back Michael Shaw and a review of the backfield competition; plus the role of the wide receivers in the offensive scheme.
Profile of cornerback Troy Woolfolk, whose passion for Michigan football was a big part of his commitment to rehab and return from last year's injury.
Previews of the big games on the Michigan schedule, including the first home night game against Notre Dame and the Big Ten arrival of Nebraska .
The preview show will have multiple re-airs in the days leading up to the Wolverines' season opener against Western Michigan: Saturday, Aug. 27, 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 29, 8 a.m.; Monday, Aug. 29, 12:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 2, 2 p.m.
Inside Michigan Football, the U-M Athletic Department's internally produced program, premieres on Monday, Aug. 29, on Fox Sports Detroit. Coach Hoke will be joined by host Jim Brandstatter for the 30-minute show that includes game and practice highlights, student-athlete features and in-depth analysis of past and future games. Each of the 15 shows will debut on Fox Sports Detroit each Monday evening throughout the fall. Repeats of each week's show will be shown on Fox Sports Detroit at 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 2 p.m. on Fridays.
