ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan football junior quarterback Denard Robinson (Deerfield Beach, Fla./Deerfield Beach) on Thursday (Sept. 15), by a vote of the fans, added Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week honors to his list of awards for his efforts last Saturday (Sept. 10) in the Wolverines' 35-31 comeback victory over Notre Dame.
Robinson on Monday (Sept. 12) was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week, and Rivals.com National and Big Ten Player of the Week.
Robinson accounted for 446 of Michigan's 452 total yards against Notre Dame, including four fourth-quarter touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) that contributed to the Wolverines overcoming a 17-point deficit.He hit senior/junior wide receiver Roy Roundtree (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison) on a 16-yard pass in the corner of the end zone with two seconds remaining to complete the comeback. He set career highs in passing yardage (338) and touchdown passes (4).
Also nominated for the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week were quarterback Darron Thomas of Oregon, defensive lineman Melvin Ingram of South Carolina and quarterback Tyler Bray of Tennessee.
