ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Department in conjunction with the Michigan Student Assembly (MSA) will hold a pep rally at Crisler Arena Friday afternoon (Sept. 25) prior to the U-M football team's homecoming game against Indiana. The Wolverines and Hoosiers will meet in the Big Ten Conference opener on Saturday (Sept. 26) at noon EDT at Michigan Stadium.
The pep rally is free and open to the public. The doors to Crisler Arena will open at 2:30 p.m. Student groups will perform for 30 minutes prior to the U-M Marching Band's arrival at 4 p.m.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez and the 130th team in Michigan football history will arrive at approximately 4:15 p.m. Michigan radio network sideline announcer Doug Karsch will be the emcee for the event. Coach Rodriguez will address the crowd and there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the pep rally.
There will be bussing from Michigan students from the residence halls. Check www.msa.umich.edu/homecoming for the pick-up information.
