WOLVERINES AND GOLDEN GOPHERS

• Michigan owns a 72-24-3 all-time record against Minnesota and a 38-12-1 mark at home.

• U-M is 37-3 in its last 40 meetings vs. Minnesota, including 21 wins in the last 22 matchups.

• U-M has won five consecutive games in the series, including a 35-13 victory last season in Minneapolis.

• Minnesota's last win came in 2005, upsetting the No. 24 Wolverines on homecoming on Oct. 8, 23-20.

HOMECOMING GAMES

• Saturday's game marks the 113th homecoming game in Ann Arbor, and it will be the 33rd time U-M has hosted Minnesota on homecoming, the most of any opponent.

• The Wolverines hold an 85-27 record in their previous 112 homecoming contests, including a 24-8 mark against the Golden Gophers.

MICHIGAN AFTER THE BYE WEEK

• Michigan has won nine of its last 10 games following the bye week. U-M posted a 44-13 victory at Purdue last season following the bye.

STREAKS TO WATCH

• WR Jeremy Gallon has posted a reception in 30 straight games.

• Gallon has posted at least four catches in nine straight games.

• QB Devin Gardner has recorded at least one rushing touchdown in eight consecutive regular-season games.

• K Brendan Gibbons has converted 117-straight PATs, which rank second in program history behind J.D. Carlson (126, 1988-91).

• LB Desmond Morgan has tallied at least four tackles in 19 straight regular-season games.

• Under head coach Brady Hoke, Michigan has won 17 straight games at Michigan Stadium -- the longest active home winning streak among BCS conference teams.

THE LAST TIME VS. MINNESOTA ...

• Behind a three-touchdown performance by junior quarterback Devin Gardner, U-M defeated Minnesota, 35-13, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at TCF Bank Stadium to keep possession of the Little Brown Jug.

• Gardner made his first collegiate start at quarterback, completing 12-of-18 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns and carrying the ball 10 times for 21 yards and one touchdown.

BRADY HOKE AGAINST MINNESOTA

• Saturday will mark Brady Hoke's third encounter against Minnesota as a head coach. In his first season at the helm of Michigan in 2011, Hoke and the Wolverines defeated the Gophers, 58-0, at Michigan Stadium. Last season, U-M earned a 35-13 victory over Minnesota at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

MOVING THE CHAINS

• Michigan has put together 13 70+-yard touchdown drives this season, including five against Central Michigan (Aug. 31), four against Notre Dame (Sept. 7), three against Akron (Sept. 14) and one against Connecticut (Sept. 21).

• Gardner orchestrated 11 70+-yard touchdown drives over the final five games of the 2012 season, including three 90+-yard touchdown drives (two at Minnesota, one vs. Northwestern).
