ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan football fifth-year senior wide receiver Jeremy Gallon (Apopka, Fla./Apopka) was named today (Monday, Oct. 21) as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his record-setting performance in the Wolverines' 63-47 win over Indiana on Saturday. It marks Gallon's second Big Ten Player of the Week honor.

Gallon posted 14 receptions for a 369 yards and two touchdowns against the Hoosiers, establishing new Big Ten and school records for most receiving yards in a single game. His 369 yards also mark the second-highest receiving total in a single game in FBS history, while his 14 catches are the second-highest total in program history.

Gallon leads the Big Ten in receiving yards (831), receiving yards per game (118.7) and catches (45), and is tied for the league lead in touchdown receptions (seven). He has posted at least one reception in 33 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in program history, trailing only record-holder Braylon Edwards (38 games) and Jason Avant (35).

The Wolverines will now head into their second bye week after earning their sixth win of the season. Following the week off, Michigan will travel to East Lansing, Mich., on Saturday, Nov. 2, to take on in-state rival Michigan State. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
