Getting to Know James Rogers
James Rogers
Wide Receiver

Sophomore wide receiver James Rogers has a thing for speed. He loves the Flash, was a big-play cornerback and special teams performer as a freshman, and this year, back at his natural wide receiver spot, has turned every ball he's caught into a gain of 19 yards or more. James played in 11 games in his freshman campaign, tallying six tackles, one fumble recovery and a pass break-up while playing meaningful minutes on defense and special teams. He moved to wide receiver in 2008 and fought for playing time all fall, appearing in eight games this year and averaging 21 yards per catch, including a career-best 24-yard reception against Illinois. He also recorded a pair of solo stops on special teams against Wisconsin, proving that speed does kill.
