Junior tailback Mike Hart cracked the 100-yard barrier for first time in his career against the Buckeyes, gaining a game-high 142 yards on 23 carries, and matched his career high with three rushing touchdowns.
Hart gained 56 yards on 10 first-half carries, with a 30-yard run on Michigan's second scoring drive of the game.
Hart scored on a one-yard touchdown run on the opening series of the game and added a two-yard run on the opening possession of the third quarter. Hart has scored a rushing touchdown in six straight games and in nine of the 12 contests.
Sophomore wide receiver Mario Manningham led the team in receptions with six for 86 yards against the Buckeyes. He caught three passes for 58 yards on the opening drive of the contest.
Junior wide receiver Adrian Arrington snared a 37-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Arrington had a TD catch in six of the eight conference games and leads the team with seven receiving TDs in Big Ten action.
Arrington led the receiving effort with five receptions for a career-best 90 receiving yards and scored the one TD.
Junior defensive tackle Alan Branch collected a pair of turnovers against the Buckeyes. He intercepted a tipped pass in the secondary, leading to a 39-yard field goal by Garrett Rivas, and corralled a Troy Smith fumble that led to a one-yard TD run by Mike Hart. Branch finished the game with two assisted tackles.
Senior defensive LaMarr Woodley picked up the team's third turnover of the game and ended a potential OSU scoring drive on a fumble recovery after a botched OSU snap. Woodley contributed four assisted stops.
Fifth-year senior inside linebacker David Harris led the defensive effort with his third straight double-digit tackle game. Harris had 10 stops and one tackle for loss against the Buckeyes.
Senior defensive end Rondell Biggs picked up the team's only sack, on Ohio State's opening series. He finished with two tackles and the lone sack.
Sophomore nose tackle Terrance Taylor set a career high with seven tackles against the Buckeyes, including two tackles for loss.
Senior linebackers Prescott Burgess and Shawn Crable served as the special teams captains against Ohio State.
Senior kicker Garrett Rivas converted a 39-yard field goal at 8:41 of the third quarter to tie Remy Hamilton (1993-96) for the Michigan career field goals record with 63.
Sophomore punter Zoltan Mesko had a career-high 222 yards punting on five punts. He averaged 44.4 yards per punt and had one punt downed inside the opposition's 20-yard line.
Senior cornerback Leon Hall and Prescott Burgess tied for the third on the team with six stops apiece.
