Football Support Staff: Administrative Staff
Michelle Guidry-Pan
Schembechler Hall Secretary
Michelle Guidry-Pan is in her 22nd year with the University of Michigan. She joined the football program prior to the 2008 season after working eight years in the athletic development office. She works with the medical, equipment and recruiting staffs.
Prior to joining the athletic department in 2000, Guidry-Pan spent 11 years in the clerical staff with the Department of Facility, Planning and Design at the University.
Guidry-Pan has a son, Cody, and daughter, Taylor.
Larry Martin
Director of Football Facilities
Larry Martin is in his 10th year as the facility manager for Schembechler Hall. He works with the football staff on improvements and upgrades to the Wolverines' facilities. Martin also supervises Al Glick Fieldhouse, Oosterbaan Fieldhouse and South Ferry Field.
He moved to the Athletic Department after three years as Assistant Director for Intramural Sports at the University.
A native of Saginaw, Mich., Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Ferris State University and a Master of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. While at Ferris, he also played baseball and was the GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Player of the Year and a third-team All-American his senior year. Before coming to Michigan, Martin spent three years as the Intramural Director at Texas Christian University.
In his free time, Martin is an avid sports official working in the college basketball ranks. He also enjoys running having completed his first marathon in October. Martin and his wife, Cheryl, have a daughter, Mallory, and a son, Bryce.
Jennifer Maszatics Executive Assistant to the Head Coach
Jennifer Maszatics is in her 12th season with Michigan football as the executive assistant to the head coach.
She joined the Michigan football program in 1999 after working one year as the executive secretary to the chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. Maszatics also spent one year as an executive secretary at M-CARE.
Prior to her employment at the University, Maszatics worked eight years as the executive secretary to the vice president of clinical services at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She also spent two years as an administrative assistant at Corporate Events Management - Travel Consultants, Inc., in Grand Rapids.
Maszatics graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor of science degree in 1987. She and her husband, Jim, a Michigan alumnus, are the parents of two daughters, Alexandra and Victoria.
Kelly Vaughn Player-Family Coordinator / Operations Assistant
Kelly Vaughn is in her fourth season as Player-Family Coordinator and Operations Assistant with the Michigan football program. Vaughn serves as the liaison between the football office and player families and runs the team's parent website. She assists in coordinating the high school coaches' clinic, summer team camps and the Women's Football Academy and is the webmaster for insidemichiganfootball.com. Vaughn also assists the recruiting department with game day operations and is the bowl game event coordinator.
Vaughn joined the football staff after working three years in minor league hockey and another two years in publishing with Tribune Media Services in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Vaughn graduated from the University of Michigan with honors from the Division of Kinesiology in 2001, earning a B.A. in sports management and communication. She received the Stan Kemp Award and Paul A. Hunsicker Award from Kinesiology.
Vaughn coaches All-Star competitive cheerleading with Michigan Xtreme Cheer. She resides in Ypsilanti Township.
Bryan Wright Football Analyst
Bryan Wright is in his fourth season as a staff intern with the Michigan football program. He joined the Wolverines after serving two seasons as a graduate assistant at West Virginia.
Wright was a running back and kick returner at West Virginia from 2002-05, winning Rookie of the Year and Weight Lifter of the Year in 2002. Wright finished his playing career at Shepherd University in 2006-07 where he helped the Rams go undefeated in winning back-to-back WVIAC championships and qualify for the Division II playoffs. Wright received all-conference recognition on his way to setting the school rushing record.
Wright earned his bachelor's degree in fitness and exercise science at Shepherd in 2007. Wright earned his master's degree at West Virginia in athletic coaching education while he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach/academics in 2007-08.
Wright originally is from Romney, W.Va. He attended Hampshire High School, lettering in football, baseball, basketball and track. Wright and his wife, Jade, reside in Ann Arbor.
Kurt Mattix Football Analyst
Kurt Mattix is in his first season as a staff intern with the Michigan football program. He joined the Wolverines after spending the previous two seasons (2009-10) as the tight end coach at Ball State University under former U-M assistant coach Stan Parrish.
He brings 13 years of coaching experience to Ann Arbor. Mattix was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at St. Joseph's in 2008 and spent four seasons as the defensive coordinator at Wayne State (2004-07) before joining Parrish's staff in Muncie.
Mattix began his coaching career as an assistant at Portage High School (1998-99). He moved to the collegiate ranks as an assistant coach at Trine University (2000) and Anderson University (2001) before accepting a graduate assistant position at Ball State during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
Mattix earned his bachelor's degree from Valparaiso in 1999.
Christian Taylor Football Analyst
Christian Taylor is in his first season as a staff intern with the Michigan football. Taylor comes to Ann Arbor after spending the 2010 season as an offensive assistant at San Diego State University.
Taylor spent two seasons as an offensive assistant at William & Mary (2008-09) prior to joining the Aztecs. He helped the Tribe finish in the top 20 of the FCS rankings both seasons, including a No. 3 ranking in 2009, after losing in the FCS semifinals to eventual national champion Villanova, 14-13.
A two-year letterman, Taylor played quarterback at William & Mary from 2004-07. He was a member of the Atlantic-10 conference championship team that made it to the NCAA semifinals and finished third in the national polls. Taylor graduated in 2007 with a major in kinesiology and minor in psychology.
Originally from Yorktown, Va., Taylor played football and baseball at Grafton High School.
