2014 Michigan Football Broadcast Information
HELP FINDING THE GAME ON TV
ABC Regional / ESPN Reverse Mirror -- Games listed on the schedule as ABC/ESPN (or ABC/ESPN2) are regionally broadcast on ABC. In regions of the country where the game is not on ABC, it will be broadcast on ESPN (or ESPN2). Some cable companies may carry the mirror game on only the ESPN (or ESPN2) standard definition channel and not the high definition channel.
Big Ten Network -- When the Big Ten Network broadcasts multiple games in the same time slot, the game of primary interest in a region will be carried on the network's main channel. The Big Ten Network offers the other games in the time slot to its affiliates for airing on "extra football game channels." Check the Big Ten Network's Gamefinder to determine where to find a game in your channel lineup.
MICHIGAN SPORTS NETWORK GAME AUDIO
The pre-game and game audio will be live on WWJ (950 am). On MGoBlue.com, all games will be streamed free of charge. Links will be provided on the front page and the football page.
Jim Brandstatter (play-by-play) and Dan Dierdorf (color) bring the action from the booth, with Doug Karsch providing sideline reports and analysis. Jon Jansen will provide pre-game, halftime and postgame analysis from Michigan Stadium.
DELAY-FREE RADIO AVAILABLE FOR FANS INSIDE MICHIGAN STADIUM
Fans will be able to listen to the flagship radio broadcast featuring Jim Brandstatter and Dan Dierdorf without delay inside Michigan Stadium this season thanks to a partnership between WTKA Radio and the Michigan/IMG Radio Network. The three parties worked to eliminate several of the elements that normally lead to a significant delay with a radio station.
WTKA's AM 1050 in Ann Arbor will be airing Michigan football games without delay during the 2014 season, meaning fans can bring a radio to the games and hear the commentary from Brandstatter and Dierdorf in virtual real time as the play unfolds before their eyes.
Fans can bring a small transistor radio into Michigan Stadium as long as it meets the requirements specified in the prohibited items list.
