Wolverines to Compete Against Four Teams in Puerto Rico

The University of Michigan men's gymnastics team is set to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to compete against Illinois, Arizona State, and the Puerto Rican and Spanish national teams.

• U-M is ranked 11th in the CGA Coaches Poll and 12th in the Road to Nationals standings (402.617). As a team, Michigan ranks in the top-10 in the NCAA on three events: seventh on floor exercise (69.433) and ninth on both pommel horse (66.100) and vault (70.633).

• Individual top-15 rankings are led by sophomore Emyre Cole, who ranks third on floor (14.683), as well as fourth on vault (14.733). Additionally, reigning Big Ten and NCAA vault champion Anthony McCallum ranks No. 10 on the table with a 14.733. Sophomore Ryan Dunning ranks No. 14 on still rings (14.300), while senior Anthony Stefanelli checks in at No. 15 on floor exercise (14.333).

• The Wolverines are coming off of a 402.100-386.800 win over California on Saturday (Feb. 25) in the team's first home meet of the season. U-M won five of six events. Sophomores Emyre Cole (floor, vault), Uche Eke (pommel horse), Ryan Dunning (still rings), and Anthony McCallum (parallel bars) captured individual.

• Even with the NCAA reverting to a five-up, five-count scoring system following the Winter Cup, U-M was able to set two new season-high scores on pommel horse (67.650) and still rings (69.050) in the home opener versus Cal.

• According to the Road To Nationals All-Event Rankings, U-M's top-three gymnasts this season have been sophomore Emyre Cole (244.800), junior/sophomore Marty Strech (186.250), and junior Dmitri Belanovski (162.900).
