ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Four former, incoming and future University of Michigan men's gymnasts, headlined by 2013 U.S. champion and undergraduate assistant Sam Mikulak (2011-14) will take part in the 2014 P&G Championships Friday-Sunday (Aug. 22-24) at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. Also taking part in the event will be rising U-M senior Nick Hunter (Canton, Ohio/Canton), as well as a pair of incoming freshmen in Marty Strech (Fountain Valley, Calif./Connections Academy) and Dmitri Belanovski (Milwaukee, Wis./Nathan Hale).
Both Mikulak and Hunter will be competing in the men's senior division, while Belanovski will partake in the men's 17-18 division. Strech will compete in the junior men 15-16 grouping.
Men's senior competition commences on Friday at 7:15 p.m., and finals will begin on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Junior competition is Friday at 1 p.m., with finals taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Friday's senior competition will be show on tape delay via the NCA Sports Network at 11:30 p.m., while finals will be broadcast on Sunday live on NBC with coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Live podium training will stream on Wednesday (Aug. 20) from 2:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Additionally, former U-M gymnast Evan Heiter (2007-10) will be on hand for live webcasts of three of the four men's sessions.
The U.S. Gymnastics Championships, previously known as the Visa Championships, determine U.S. champions and the U.S. national team for the junior and senior elite levels.
