Luke Moffatt's goal was his first of the season. In the 2011-12 campaign, Moffatt went tallied six goals and 10 assists for 16 points, chipping in one of his goals in Michigan's victory versus BGSU in the 2012 CCHA Tournament in Detroit.

• The Wolverines' record now stands at 7-11-2 this season (4-8-2-2 CCHA). U-M is 1-1 against Bowling Green on the campaign.

• Michigan is now 2-9-0 when the opponent scores first.

• The matchup was head coach Red Berenson's 1,200th career game and was defenseman Jon Merrill's first full game back after his neck injury, which he suffered on Oct. 9 during a preseason game vs. Windsor.

• Boo Nieves posted one assist to increase his team-leading total to 11 this season.

• BGSU's victory marks the first time the team has had back-to-back wins for the entire 2012-13 season.

Adam Janecyk made his fourth straight start in goal. Steve Racine's relief goaltending in the third period was the first time he had seen ice time in three games.
