On the game ... "Obviously, a closer game. I liked the way we started. You didn't know if this was going to be a 1-0 game, or a 2-1 game, but you knew it was going to be a closer game and it was. I thought their goalie played well and their best players were their best players."
On the message to the team during the timeout ... We were trying to come up with a faceoff play and get a good scoring chance. We just need one shot to get by him or a rebound or an ugly goal to tie that game and it just never happened."

On ending his goal drought ... "It's a relief for me personally. I haven't had much confidence in my game lately, but to get that one off my back, now maybe I can get something going."
On the playoff mentality from here on out ... "Coach stressed that we're running out of games, so we've got to play playoff hockey; play like we're desperate. We have to figure something out. One out of two just isn't good enough."
