Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On the game overall ... "I told their coach that is probably the best weekend of hockey that Michigan has played all year. For whatever reason, it was a good weekend for us. A lot of little things, the penalty killing was good, the power play was good, our second periods were good, and our third period tonight was one of the better ones we have had all year. To win the third period convincingly and not give up any goals against was good. Our overall team, it just felt like everyone was having a better weekend, and it had to be a good feeling to be a player on this team."
On still needing to limit goals against moving forward ... "You are not going to win many games giving up three. We are still going to be focused on that, but somehow we found a way to score against a team that normally does not give up goals against. The puck went in for us, and we made some good plays, so we will take that. It wasn't a coaches dream from either team -- I am sure the other coach will be talking about sloppy hockey, and we could too -- but it was just one of those games you had to play in."

On how it felt singing The Victors tonight ... "It felt great, I think that is the second time this year. So it is definitely a step in the right direction, and I think that we can carry that momentum into the playoffs."
On having the game-winning goal ... "It kind of clicked with me and A.J. (Treais) on the 4-on-4. I think A.J. made a good play to drive it wide, and then get it to me. I kind of felt him come off my back, and as soon as he came at me, he came a little too hard. So I put it through his legs, and coaches tell me to go hard to the net. So I went hard to the net from there and put it at the net, and good things happen when you put it at the net. It was definitely a good play and goal."
U-M Sophomore Forward Phil Di Giuseppe
On the team's mindset before the game ... "You can get a sweep this weekend, and we haven't had many of those, so we were excited about that. We knew that it was going to be their Senior Night. Last year was very emotional for our seniors, so we knew how much it meant to them, and we didn't want them to have their way with it."
