Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On the difference tonight ... "So all year we have been complaining about goals against and our goalies. I think it is pretty clear tonight that our goalie won us the game -- he was the difference in the game. Good for Steve Racine, good for our team and good for our seniors."
On how the power play has improved ... "A little bit of confidence, a little bit of stability. We've got Jon Merrill back. We've got the team back for the most part, and I think that is really helpful."
U-M Senior Forward A.J. Treais
On the shootout goal ... "I am not going to lie, it has been a while since I put the puck in the back of the net. Even though it doesn't count, I can still feel that it was a goal. It seems like I scored a goal, and that I made a difference. It was even more special to do it on a night like this."
U-M Senior Forward Kevin Lynch
On building momentum on Senior Night ... "It was very special. Anytime you have a chance to have another series at home, it is huge. It was a very special night for seniors, but it was also a special night for our team. We got momentum towards the CCHA tournament. Playing at home is huge in the first round."
U-M Freshman Goaltender Steve Racine
On what has changed in the past two weekends ... "Not much, the last couple of months I have been working very hard in practice, trying to get better. I was playing a lot in the beginning of the year, and when that goes away, you notice you may have taken it for granted a little bit. So, I just tried to work harder and get in there and make the most of my opportunity."
