Jacob Trouba scored two goalsm upping his totals to 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points. His game-winning goal is his seventh power-player goal of the season, the most of any player in the CCHA. Trouba's 12 goals tie him for the team lead in that category with Alex Guptill, who also has 12.

• Guptill extended his team leadership in total points with two assists, giving him 31 points (12g, 19a).

• Guptill has extended his point streak to eight games, tying his career long. He has five goals and nine assists for 14 points during the run.

Steve Racine has now started the last seven games for Michigan in net. He is unbeaten in those seven game, owning a 6-0-1 (1 SOW) record.

• Friday night's loss was only the third WMU has suffered at home this season.

• U-M outshot WMU 30-18. It is only the fifth time this season the Broncos have been outshot by an opponent.

• Michigan's win gave WMU its second consecutive loss of the season, the first time this has happened to the Broncos this season. WMU lost to Michigan State in the final regular-season CCHA game.
