The Wolverines are 50-28 all-time in NCAA Tournament contests, including a 2-2 mark vs. the Big Red in tournament action.
Luke Glendening opened the scoring for the Wolverines -- just 1:11 into the first period -- to extend his point streak to a career-long five games (2g, 3a). Glendening had points in each of Michigan's playoff games this season and led the team with 16 points (5g, 11a) in 25 career postseason contests and four points (2g, 2a) in eight NCAA Tournament games.
A.J. Treais earned an assist on Glendening's goal to extend his point streak to five games (1g, 4a). Treais has 14 points (3g, 11a) in 21 playoff games and two points (2a) in seven NCAA Tournament contests.
Michigan finished the contest 0-for-6 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
Shawn Hunwick's made the stop on the first penalty shot he had ever faced.
