• Michigan's three-game win streak came to an end, dropping a 4-3 decision to the visiting Miami RedHawks. Michigan's record now stands at 3-2-0.

• Sophomore forward Travis Lynch scored his third goal of the season and now has points in back-to-back games (1g, 1a).

Alex Guptill scored his fourth goal of the season with his second-period tally, extending his point streak to four games (4g, 2a).

Lindsay Sparks scored his second goal of the season with his third-period mark and had an early assist for his first multi-point effort of the campaign.

• Michigan is now 1-1-0-0 in CCHA play and the loss is the first to Miami since Nov. 11, 2011.

• Michigan was 0-for-2 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill. After starting season 10-for-10 on the penalty kill, Michigan has now surrendered power-play goals in two straight games.

• Junior defenseman Kevin Clare led the team with three blocked shots.

Luke Moffatt and Alex Guptill tied for the team lead with five shots on goal.

• Freshman Jared Rutledge made his second start between the pipes for the Wolverines, turning aside 31 shots in the loss.
