• The Wolverines dropped a 7-2 decision against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday (Nov. 10) at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich. The two teams split the weekend series after Michigan earned a 5-1 home-ice win on Friday (Nov. 9).

• Freshman Boo Nieves scored for the second straight game, giving the forward seven points (2g, 5a) through nine games this season.

A.J. Treais continued his red-hot start, scoring his team-leading eighth goal of the season in the second period of tonight's game. Treais ranks first nationally in goals scored and leads the Wolverines with 13 points (8g, 5a) this season.

Jared Rutledge made 20 saves in 49:09 of action. Steve Racine turned aside both shots he faced in 10:41.

• The Michigan power play ended the contest 1-for-8, while the penalty kill unit was 5-for-7

• The seven goals allowed tonight are the most yielded by a Michigan team since Oct. 25, 2008, against Boston University.

• Michigan, which had allowed just six first-period goals all year coming into tonight's game, allowed a season-high four tonight.
