Mac Bennett notched the only goal of the game for Michigan, scoring his fourth of the season.
Jacob Trouba earned his sixth assist of the campaign on Bennett's goal. He ranks second on the team in assists.
Andrew Sinelli picked up the second assist for his first helper of the season.
Phil Di Giuseppe led the team with five shots on goal.
Michigan's power play finished the game 0-for-2, while the penalty kill unit shut down Cornell on 5-of-6 opportunities.
