Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On the game ... "We got off to a tough start in the first period; we took poor penalties. They gave us four penalties and they (Cornell) got the one goal. Our team was not in sync. The second period should have been a bounce-back period for us; we played well in parts of the period, but we might have had three minutes of poor defensive zone play that cost us two goals. We came out strong in the third, tried to play strong, and had some pucks to the net. We had some near chances, but then we give up goals too easily."
On how to fix the team's recent struggles ... "That's a good question; if I knew what to do then you wouldn't be asking me that question. We've been inconsistent. We have a good game where we give up one goal against then we have a bad game where we give up five. That's really our see-saw. I don't think anyone deliberately does that; we're just not good enough right now. We cannot out-skill or out-score our mistakes."
