• Michigan and Alaska met for the 52nd all-time matchup between the teams, as the Wolverines record dropped to 41-10-1 versus the Nanooks. Michigan owns a 17-6-0 record in Fairbanks.

• Forward Phil Di Giuseppe and defenseman Brennan Serville led the Wolverines with two assists each in tonight's contest. Both players now have points in back-to-back games; Di Giuseppe with a goal and two assists and Serville with three assists.

• Di Giuseppe is now tied for the team lead with 14 points (7g, 7a) through the first 17 games of his collegiate career. Chris Brown shares the top spot with four goals and 10 assists.

David Wohlberg scored for the second straight game and now has five tallies on the season. Wohlberg has posted 12 points (5g, 7a) this season.

• Defenseman Lee Moffie scored his second goal of the season tonight and his first since Oct. 13 versus St. Lawrence.

Shawn Hunwick turned aside 24 of 28 shots in his seventh loss of the year.

• Michigan ended the contest 0-for-4 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
