• Michigan's loss tonight snaps a five-game GLI winning streak and denies the Wolverines a shot at a third straight championship.

• UM's last GLI third place finish was in 2009, a game it won against Michigan Tech.

• Michigan's all-time record vs. MTU now stands at 120-91-4 and the loss snapped a 10-game winning streak against the Huskies.

Adam Janecyk made his second straight start for Michigan, turning aside 32 shots.

Luke Moffatt, Boo Nieves, Jeff Rohrkemper and A.J. Treais led the team with four shots on goal apiece.

• Michigan finished the game 0-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-3 on the penalty kill.

Alex Guptill was called for a team-high four penalty minutes.
