ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan ice hockey team will face Michigan State this weekend (Fri-Sun., March 12-14) in a best-of-three, quarterfinal round CCHA playoff series. All three games, if necessary, will be played at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich. Game time for each contest has been set for 7:05 p.m.

Comcast (channel 900) will broadcast games one (Friday, March 12) and two (Saturday, March 13). If game three (Sunday, March 14) is necessary, MSU will stream the game on msuspartans.com.

Michigan is the No. 7 seed in the CCHA Tournament and advanced to the quarterfinal round by defeating No. 10 seed Lake Superior State last weekend (5-2, 6-0) at Yost Ice Arena. Michigan State is seeded No. 2 in the tournament and earned a bye into the quarterfinals. The winner of the series between U-M and MSU will advance to the CCHA Championship weekend (March 19-20) at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
