CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- University of Michigan men's lacrosse goalie Gerald Logan (Sachem, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River/Hotchkiss School) has been named ECAC Rookie of the Week. Logan takes home the honor coming off a program-record 25 saves in a 12-1 defeat March 2 against the Army Black Knights.

Logan, who stopped 13 shots in the first half and 12 shots in the second half, is No. 1 in the ECAC and No. 3 in the NCAA with 73 saves. He leads the NCAA with 18.25 saves per game and owns a .589 save percentage.

Logan is the second U-M player in program history to garner such an honor, as goalie Emil Weiss took home the award last season on March 5.

U-M will continue its spring break trip by traveling to High Point, N.C., to take on the High Point Panthers Wednesday (March 6) at Vert Stadium. The matchup is slated to commence at 7 p.m.
