ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's lacrosse head coach John Paul hasannounced four seniors as captains for the squad's second season of varsity action in midfielder Sean Sutton (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich), attackman Thomas Paras(Lakewood, Ohio/St. Ignatius), defender J.D. Johnson (Malibu, Calif./Loyola) and defenseman Rob Healy (Rochester, Mich./Notre Dame Prep). Sutton, Paras, and Johnson hold the position for the second straight season, while the honor is the first for Healy.

Paras was second on the team last season in points with 24 and goals with 17 as a member of U-M's top midfield unit, while Sutton, a defensive midfielder by trade, played in all 14 games a season ago and collected eight ground balls for the Maize and Blue.

Johnson started all 14 games at d-pole for U-M and collected 40 ground balls, which was good for second on the squad, and also chipped in an assist. Healy also started all 14 games as the team's top defender and had 17 ground balls during the campaign.

The Maize and Blue opens up the 2012 fall season by taking part in the Nicholas Colleluori Classic on Saturday (Oct. 6) in Philadelphia, Pa.
