ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head men's soccer coach Chaka Daley announced Wednesday (Feb. 12) the addition of seven prep standouts in Jacob Duska (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep), Tristan Jacob (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), Nathan Kohl (Hillard, Ohio/Hillard Darby), Hans Lee (Seoul, Korea/Seoul Foreign School), Evan Louro (Holmdel, N.J./St. John Vianney), Ahinga Selemani (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) and Billy Stevens (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park). Additionally, U-M welcomed Georgia State transfer junior midfielder William Mellors-Blair (Nottingham, England/The Nottingham Bluecoat School/Georgia State) at the mid-semester break.
"Our staff is excited about the 2014 incoming class. We feel that the members of this class can immediately contribute to and complement a solid returning group," said head coach Chaka Daley, who is entering his third year with the program. "From top to bottom, this class fills the needs for a group that has the potential to compete at the highest level of college soccer. Our goal as a staff, with our second full recruiting class, was to promote competition amongst the outstanding student-athletes we have in place, and create a great brand of college soccer that can compete for championships on a perennial basis."

The Wolverines are coming off a season with an overall record of 8-7-3. In individual accolades, Tyler Arnone (Hicksville, N.Y./St. John's) made history as the first recipient of the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year award and became the fourth Wolverine to earn back-to-back first team All-Big Ten accolades in program history. In addition to Arnone's prowess, freshmen defenders Lars Eckenrode (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) and Rylee Woods (Jamestown, Ohio/Greeneview) each earned spots on the Big Ten All-Freshman team. Additionally, senior Fabio Pereira (Sao Paulo, Brazil/South Kent School) was selected in the second round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the Seattle Sounders.
