The Wolverines will give fans the inside scoop on the goings on of Michigan men's soccer all season in the Blue Collar Blog. Fabio Villas Boas Pereira brings us installment number three.

What's up Michigan soccer fans! This is your Brazilian senior Fabio Pereira, bringing you the third installment of our 2013 Blue Collar blog!

What an amazing home opener that was last Friday against Loyola-Chicago. The crowd was absolutely fantastic and definitely a huge contributor in our 5-2 win. Your passion and enthusiasm create such unique atmosphere defining what is a home field advantage!

Friday night, we will be hosting a very skilled South Florida at 8 p.m. under the lights. This game couldn't be scheduled on a better weekend. The entire student body, as well as the university as a whole, have been waiting for this coming Saturday, when our football team will be taking on the Fighting Irish in the second-ever Under the Lights contest. Campus should be buzzing for such an exciting weekend. As an appetizer for Saturday's game, join the best soccer fans in the nation, the Michigan Ultras, and come support your soccer team on another tough opponent!

These past three weeks have been extremely productive under the guidance of our great coaching staff and both captains. Everyone, from top to bottom, has been contributing for what seems to be leading us to a successful and memorable season. We have some young players stepping up and I believe the mixture of experience and youth is key for us to achieve our 2013 goals. We expect nothing but a Big Ten championship this season, as well as to be one of the four teams playing for berth in the College Cup at PPL Park in Philadelphia. Individually, I just hope to keep helping the team win games, whether that means scoring goals, giving assets, or just grinding to make sure the team walks out off the field with three points.

It will be an emotional last season at the University of Michigan for me. I can't describe in words how much I love this school. I have learned and cherished special moments here and I'm hoping to give back everything I have ever received by fighting and being the best player I can be for the reminder of the season. Entitled to nothing, grateful for everything!

Thanks for reading the third installment of this year's blog, and please make sure you check back throughout the year as we will keep you in the loop of what is going on behind the scenes with your Michigan Soccer team. Go Blue!
