The Wolverines will give fans the inside scoop on the goings on of Michigan men's soccer all season in the Blue Collar Blog. Colin McAtee covers this week.

Hello Maize and Blue faithful. This is junior/sophomore Colin McAtee scribing the latest chapter in the Blue Collar Blog.

The past few weeks we have been on a run of good form. After suffering a tough loss to Northwestern to open up the Big Ten season, we have won four of our last five games. During this run we have knocked off rivals Ohio State and Wisconsin, as well as national powerhouse Creighton.

After coming off a big win against a top-10 team in Creighton, we knew we had another battle on our hands with Wisconsin. Last year we suffered a tough loss in Madison, so we were ready to avenge last year's result in our backyard. Our match versus Wisconsin this past Sunday was probably the most physical game I have ever played in. After allowing the game-tying goal late in the game, our mentality was not to sit back and wait for overtime. We continued to press, create chances and finally broke through with a great strike from Tyler Arnone. I was so proud of the guys for putting their bodies on the line, scoring some fantastic goals and finding a way to win. The result showed our group was heading in the right direction.

While we are excited on our recent success we know we have not yet accomplished anything. However, all of our goals are still attainable, and this weekend we host defending national champion Indiana. While the Hoosiers' record may not show it, they are a quality side and will give us a very competitive match. We are consumed in the process and our mentality is to take the season one game at a time. Our next step is Indiana.

It is crazy to think how fast this season has gone by. We only have 450 guaranteed minutes left to play this season. I can still remember preseason as it was yesterday, and now we are going into our final stretch before the postseason. We started a little slower than we would have liked but are definitely peaking at the right time. I really want to give it my all for the team and especially for the seniors who only have this season left to leave their legacy. With my academic class (the juniors) being so small on our team, I have become very close to the seniors throughout my time here at Michigan. I know how much they want to end their careers here on top. While I do not understand how they must feel being so close to the end of their college careers, I try to have the mentality that any game could be the last.

I am really looking forward to the end of the season, as we are in control of our destiny. With two Big Ten games and two out of conference games remaining, we can put ourselves in a great position to make a run in the NCAA tournament.

I hope to continue to see the stands filled for our next three games, as the support has been superb so far this season! You guys are a huge factor in our formula for success. Hope to all of our fans Saturday night at 7 p.m. for our match against Indiana -- live on the Big Ten Network!

Go Blue!
