• U-M improves to 37-2 all-time against Minnesota in dual meets. Prior to Friday, the two teams had not met in a dual-meet setting since the 1995-96 season.

• U-M has now gone 34-3-2 in dual meets under Mike Bottom and 22-1 in Big Ten dual meets. Additionally, the Wolverines are 99-3 in dual meets over the past 21 seasons.

• The 200-yard medley relay team of Miguel Ortiz, Richard Funk, Sean Fletcher and Zachary Turk finished at 1:27.40 against Minnesota. Against Wisconsin last Saturday (Sept. 29), the Michigan team of Reid Elliott, Funk, John Wojciechowski and Turk finished at 1:29.09.

Connor Jaeger improved on both of his times from last week. Against Wisconsin, Jaeger swam the 500-yard freestyle in 4:30.32 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:18.16. Today, he swam the 500-yard freestyle in 4:26.88 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:08.33.

• Following Hassaan Abdel Khalik and Pete Brumm in the 200-yard freestyle were Michael Wynalda in third (1:39.47) and Ryutaro Kamiya in fourth (1:39.92). Last Saturday against Wisconsin, the Wolverines were led in the race by Brumm (first), Abdel Khalik (second), Justin Glanda (third) and Michael Wynalda (fourth).

• U-M also had a 1-2-3 finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. Funk won the race, followed by freshman Matt McNamara (2:03.65) in second and Kyle Duckitt (2:03.85) in third.

Sean Fletcher's win in the 100-yard butterfly was by three-hundredths of a second.

• The U-M quartet of Miguel Ortiz, Sean Fletcher, Hassaan Abdel Khalik and Michael Wynalda took first in the 400-yard freestyle (2:58.81). Minnesota's quartet touched the wall at 3:04.82.
