PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- University of Michigan sophomore Jack Lee (North Egremont, Mass./Berkshire School) scored a 312.65 to earn the men's platform diving title Sunday (Nov. 20) on day three of the Pittsburgh Invitational at Joe C. Trees Pool.
Classmate Thomas Jahnke (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) earned a second-place finish with a 262.35 total as the Wolverines placed all seven competitors among the top eight finishers. Sophomore James Ross (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) closed the top three finishers (253.00), while freshman Kevin Bain (Northville, Mich./Northville) took fourth (245.80).
The Michigan divers earned a total of 262 team points in the three-day event and dominated their events, taking first- and second-place finishes in all three competitions. Jahnke earned an event title in the one-meter springboard competition on Friday (Nov. 18), while Lee won the three-meter competition on Saturday (Nov. 19).
The Wolverines return to action in two weeks, splitting up the squad for a pair of meets. The swimmers will venture to the site of this season's Big Ten Championships for the Hawkeye Invitational, Friday through Sunday, Dec. 2-4, in Iowa City, Iowa, while the divers will head to the Miami Invitational (Dec. 1-3) in Oxford, Ohio.
