Wolverines Earn High Marks with Incoming Freshmen

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team will be welcoming in the second-best recruiting class in the country this year, as SwimSwam.com published its top classes on Sunday (July 13). The announcement comes on the heels of the same website giving the women's incoming class the same No. 2 ranking on Friday (July 11).

The incoming freshman class includes swimmers Bryce Kwiecien-Delaney (Hamilton, Ontario/Westmount Secondary), Mitchell Gartland (Newtown Square, Pa./Radnor), Alex Katz (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview), Paul Powers (Gainesville, Ga./North Hall), Ian Rainey (Westport, Conn./Staples), PJ Ransford (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford), Tristan Sanders (Oldsmar, Fla./Palm Harbor University), Ryan Sebastian (Summit, N.J./Summit), Aaron Whitaker (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) and Evan White (Oakville, Ontario/Iroquois Ridge). They are joined by two new additions to the class -- swimmer Xinghao Wang (Lansing, Mich./Grand Ledge) and diver JP Flangos (Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville).
