Shean Conlon is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Michigan men's track & field team. He will oversee pole vaulters. Perry joined the staff after spending the past two-plus years as a graduate assistant at Eastern Michigan.
In his first season, Conlon guided pole vaulters Austin DeWildt and Jack Greenlee to appearances at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Rounds. Under Conlon, both student-athletes scored team points at the 2011 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, and both improved their lifetime bests by at least six inches.
He oversaw both men's and women's pole vaulters, including two-time NCAA Regional qualifier and 2010 all-conference selection Jessica Hemingway. Prior to arriving at Eastern Michigan, Perry spent two seasons at his alma mater, Oberlin College, where he competed from 2003-06.
